Flathead Valley Robotics team that is starting off as a rookie team with FIRST Robotics in Kalispell Montana
Who We Are
We are a group of Students and Adults from Flathead Valley who have come together as a team for First Robotics Competition (FRC). We use robotics to help build students to prepare them to enter the workforce. Students learn mechanical, electrical, software, marketing, and administrative properties. We are looking for more students and mentors for our non-profit group.

A huge shout out and tons of appreciation for the KitBot with donated parts, their time and help with K-Days. Truly a mark of an exceptional team!
Drew (head coach) came up and gave his experience and knowledge from his side of FRC and starting up Garage Gang.
They have also helped get us to K-Days in Canada.
Thank you for allowing us to use your facility to have our group meet up and build our robot there. We greatly appreciate the room and being able to use the wood shop and TSA room.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated:

Events
K-Days
Team went up with the KitBot and participated in their first FRC event. Those that were able to attend got to experience what FRC was like firsthand. A lot of experience in how it was run, how the robot held up and what didn’t work out versus what worked and areas to improve on. KitBot came back with a new name of Super Grover.
Outreach Events
We participated in local events to help spread awareness of First Robotics. For those interested, we let parents and students know that in Flathead Valley that there is different level of First Robotics that all can join in. From FLL, FTC, and FRC.
Marion 4th of July Parade
We had a booth to bring First Robotics awareness. An FTC robot roam around the booth launching 3 artifacts (6 inch whiffle balls). This drew the attention of quite a few people. All that were interested we handed packets and information about all the different levels of First and a contact to get a hold of.
Bigfork Rodeo on September 12th
We had a first-time event and booth where we had 5 different robots to choose from for barrel racing. 2 FTC robots and 3 Vex robots with different array of wheels and driving programs. For $1 the contestant had 3 different attempts to get the fastest times around the cones. There was a Youth group (13 and younger) and an Open group. Top fastest times received trophies and prizes. We had a lot of kids and a few adults participate. We plan on repeating this event!
